Welcome to Pratt Community School

Pratt Community School is a Pre-K through 5 school, supported by a strong international community due in large part to our close proximity to the University of Minnesota. We welcome and embrace students from all cultural and family backgrounds and are always looking for ways to learn from, honor and nurture our multicultural educational environment. Our mission is to create a safe, challenging and nurturing learning environment where all students succeed.

Connecting Soon-to-Be Kindergarten and High 5 Children

Do you have a kindergarten or High 5 child starting at Pratt Community School this Fall? Do you want to get to know other parents and kids in their grade?

Grades 4/5 Multiage Classrooms

Starting in 2017-18 we will move to multiage classrooms in grades 4 and 5. See here for information that was shared at the June 1 parent meeting.

Pratt Pursuing Community Partnership School Status

A small Design Team composed of teachers, staff (school principal, social worker, afterschool program coordinator, associate educators), and parents have started to explore Community Partnership status to see if it would be a good fit for our school.

Recruiting for Reading Corps

We are currently hiring an AmeriCorps member to serve as a Minnesota Reading Corps tutor for the 2017-18 school year. This is a paid position that does not require any experience in education - just a desire to work with kids and give back to the community.

Summer Office Hours

The Pratt Community School main office will be open until Friday, June 16. The summer hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. From June 19-August 11 the office will be closed. It will reopen again on Monday, August 14.
