Music Artist Residency

We at Pratt are excited to announce that on Monday, April 18, Teaching Artist Christian Adeti will be leading our students in West African drumming, dance, and storytelling!  This programming is being brought us through generous funding from the Pratt Parent Teacher Organization.

About the Residency

Over the course of the residency, students will be encouraged to participate in the discovery of West African drumming, dancing, and storytelling. Students will learn traditional songs and dances while exploring the history and rituals in the authentic context of an ethnic community/classroom gathering.

About Christian Adeti

Christian was born and raised in Accra, Ghana, West Africa. He has taught at many colleges, universities, and various local institutions. Christian is currently a dance instructor at the Cowles Center for Dance & the Performing Arts.

Thanks to the PTO for bringing our students this great opportunity!
