Welcome to Pratt Community School

Pratt Community School is a Pre-K through 5 school, supported by a strong international community due in large part to our close proximity to the University of Minnesota. We welcome and embrace students from all cultural and family backgrounds and are always looking for ways to learn from, honor and nurture our multicultural educational environment. Our mission is to create a safe, challenging and nurturing learning environment where all students succeed.

Summer Office Hours

MPS Comprehensive Design Process: Possible Implications for Pratt
Over the past 18 months MPS has been collecting and analyzing data to consider options for paths to best serve all MPS students. This Comprehensive District Design process included review of enrollment trends, academic results, and survey input from families.
The Comprehensive District Design focused on three goals:
  1. Improving academics for all students in our school
  2. Financial sustainability for the district into the future, including through increased retention and new enrollment
  3. Programming and school choice with equitable access to all students across the district

Recruiting for Reading Corps

We are currently hiring an AmeriCorps member to serve as a Minnesota Reading Corps tutor for the 2018-19 school year. This is a paid position that does not require any experience in education - just a desire to work with kids and give back to the community.
