Children have opportunities to engage in activities that promote social development, physical fitness, art exploration, drama, community service, and leadership skills.
Each afternoon begins with a snack. Children exercise daily on the playground or in the gymnasium. We also utilize both indoor and outdoor spaces for art projects and small group activities.
Free choice is encouraged, exploring books, toys, games, blocks, and art materials. From January through April, children have a choice to prepare a theater performance during Minneapolis Kids.
Jakki Kydd-Fidelman has been the lead teacher since the program began in 2000. She has extensive experience in early childhood education, youth art education, and parent communication. Jakki's goal for Minneapolis Kids is to provide a nuturing and rich environment for all children.
